One
November day an old friend called on me.
To give him a ride, and his new baby I
would see. When I first walked through the
door, it was hour #3. "They said
she's an angel", but this I didn't see.
Like a new born teddy bear, that's what she was
to me. These words came from her, Daddy as he
approached his final sleep ; " Please when
I'm gone, take care of her for me ".
Well now that he's gone, it's my Megan Bear,
that I'm dedicated to, to love and to care.
I can't give her a simple answer, she just knows
that I'm here. " One of life's
greatest gifts, is My Megan Bear "
She's
done past kindergarten, moved right on
through first grade. At her birthday
party, her family, they all came. Even that
special someone, who's memory still remains.
It was like someone changed the weather, it's
not even going to rain. As she rode away,
on her brand new bike, now I know it's up to me to
help guide her through life.
"One
of life's greatest gifts, is My Megan
Bear."

Those
are some words I wish I never wrote, but I did !
I was 23 and my father past away. I was so
devastated, yet able to control my emotions, as
for my mother and father raised me strong. I had
to ask for help form people, yet the hardest
thing to do was to ask people to carry my father
to his grave. I called on a man by the name of
Bill Work. Bill was someone who I went to high
school with and then became neighbors as well. I
had moved out of my parents house and Bill and
my father became friends. Bill was more then
happy to help my father in this calling of him.
With
only two years of my fathers passing, Bill was
diagnosed with brain cancer. I had always been a
very large part of his daughters life, yet when
he called on me to help guide her in life, I
said yes...... But, did I even have a clue of
what this man had just asked of me..... I now
know that the strongest man I have ever seen,
was a friend of mine. The strength within this
man to set forth some what of a plan for his
daughters life. Calling on me had to be one of
the hardest things this man ever did.
I
called her Megan Bear as she was just hours old.
I now call her My Megan Bear, but she is still
the daughter of "William Howard Work"
my friend.
