Coaching -Year #7
I
started playing soccer in the late 70's. What is
really neat, is that I played in Region 46, in-which
I now am a Coach. To be a part of Region 46 for the
past few years has been a great experience for me. I
have learned the sport of Soccer from a different
view point. I try to coach in ways my coaches
didn't! I want to be a coach that has respect
from his players, so I try to relate to my team on
the level they will respect.
Fun is
learning and learning is fun, if you make it that
way. Letting the girls know that they are all very
important to our team, and that they can make their
parents proud, just by doing there best, is great a
coaching philosophy, I think.
Parents
are always great. Out of 140 sets of parents, "one"
treated me wrong. I thank the parents of all my
players, past and present, for letting your children
be involved in youth sports.
