6th, 2001(8-1) - The team set out on
a hot California after-noon with a
win in heart. An outstanding
effort by the whole team, came up
with two great scores. Alexis maneuvered
around the strong team and passed to
Courtney for a great corner shot and
in the net. Tara and Sara were
really strong together in the second
half, and after what looked like a
game of "Pin-Ball", the
girls were able to score, with Tara
taking the goal and Sara with the
assist.

13th, 2001 - Game
will be Rescheduled.

20th, 2001 (3-2)
- When the Lean Green Soccer
Machine hit the field, they had
their game faces on. With strategic
play, Alexis scored the first goal
with a great pass from Erin. This
would only continue with Jamie and
Kristyn working together. Jamie had
great control and with an awesome
pass to Kristyn, the ball was in the
net. Courtney had many great saves
and well protected by Emily.
In
the second half, the Peppermints
were coming on strong and scored 2
goals against us. A tie game
is a coaches stress point. Caitlin
was doing all she could to keep the
ball on their side of the field. She
set the ball up for the defense to
make a move. Tara and Sara worked
the ball through the Peppermints and
Sara scored our game winning goal.

would like to add - Erin was tending
goal in the second half and was
"bored" for a while.
I had to remind her - "A bored
Goal Keeper, makes for a happy Coach"
! Way to go Girls !
