Soccer Pepper End Season With
A WIN !!!
March 29th, 2003 - What a way to end the
spring season......... A WIN !! The girls were ready even though we were
going to be one player short. Setting the positions to complement the
players style was an easy chore. These girls have come together so well,
I just hate to see the season end...
On one of the most windiest days of the
season, the ball was coming back at the girls just as they kicked it for
the goal. Many nice shots were made and the game could have been 15 to 3,
but the wind took it's toll and the game ended in a 6 to 3 final.
Miss them... Yes I will, but I asked them to
remember what I taught them.... It's nice to play against those I have
taught in the past, today being one of those games. I have learned to
send them off, only to do battle next season. I look forward to seeing
the girls again soon...
Thanks Jennifer, Alexis, Molly, Megan, Kelsey,
Kayla and Nicole. You are all great "Soccer Players" and came together as
a great team, known as Soccer Pepper. Remember.. "Control Gets The Goal
!"
The girls received their trophies and their
"Power of Pride" awards at their pizza party at "Primo's Pizza" in
Saugus. See the award here

Team Work Proves To Have Winning Goal
!!!!!!!!!!!
March 22nd, 2003 - Soccer Pepper took the
field on what would be the hottest day of the season to date. The
girls were ready to bear the heat and take control to get the goal.
The first of many goals was scored in an awesome display of team work.
It just didn't stop... The girls kept working together and came out with a
WIN !!!
The final score was 8 to 3, with 4 girls
scoring two goals each. Kelsey, Nicole, Molly and Megan were the scores
and had great support from Kayla, Jessie, Grace, and Jennifer.
Alexis was in a tournament out in Rancho Cucamonga, and we can only hope
her games went as well as ours.

In It To Win It .........
March 8th, 2003 - What a game the girls had
today, full control and got the goal.... yes, They WON !
The 4-0 game showed strong efforts from both
teams. Everyone played their positions and played
them very well. The first quarter was such a close match, I just
knew we were going to end in a tie. (We do that at this level, no
shoot-outs) But was I wrong ! The girls stated spreading out and
playing with the will and want to win the game. The passing between
them was incredible. The foot work from every-one was such an
improvement, I was speechless for a while. For those who know me, knows
that was a switch ...

Scrimmage For Image
March 6th, 2003 - The girls took the practice
field Wednesday to scrimmage the Teal Shooters. In a very tight
match, the girls pulled off a 1-0 win against the strong team.

Putting The Fizz In The Game ..............
February 22, 2003 (Saugus Ca)
Soccer Pepper
put some fizz on the field, even in a 6 to 1 loss.
What started out a little
still and scary, turned into a great soccer match. The girls were
the first to take the field for the 2003 spring season at 8:00 am.
It was cold out, but the girls didn't let that bother them. As they
got the feel of the game, things started coming together wonderfully.
Great passing and ball control.
The first quarter the
girls were having a hard time with two dominate players from the other
team. Outstanding efforts were made by goal keeper Molly, while
great moves were made by the defense of Grace, Kelsey and Kayla.
Playing their positions
well, the Soccer Pepper's had control of the ball by the second quarter.
Megan, Alexis, and Nicole were leading the offence with great tactics and
passing skills in full play. Support was a big thing out there today
!
The second half proved to
be an even stronger sign of a great team to come. The parents of
these girls and the girls themselves should be very proud, I know I am
.........
